For over 110 years, Shield Batteries have been putting our customers and our colleagues above all else. Given the evolving situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19), we wanted to let you know how we at Shield Batteries are responding and to reassure you that we have plans in place to ensure we remain open and continue to provide you with a great service.
With the extremely dynamic position of the UK dealing with the Covid-19 outbreak; we wish to reassure our suppliers, partners and customers that we have taken active measures to protect our employees, customers and supply chain..
Due to the current climate we are respecting customer’s boundaries. We appreciate if you need to minimise contact both on site and face to face with us and are happy to be led by you. We have already taken our own actions by minimising travel and meetings to those that are absolutely necessary for the business for the time being; if we can replace a meeting with a phone or video call, we will do so.
Our business systems will allow us to work remotely where necessary with full control over stock, dispatch, technical support and our telephone & IT systems. We generally carry around 3-4 months of stock at any time plus we have shipments constantly coming through that guarantee continued supply for many months to come.
Shield Batteries are taking the spread of Coronavirus extremely seriously. Our business is open as usual but, as you’d expect, our number one priority remains the wellbeing and safety of our customers and colleagues.
We are following Government advice and all teams are adhering to stringent daily actions including frequent handwashing and increased cleaning of our offices, sales counters and factories.
We’d like to reassure you that we are monitoring this situation closely and adjusting our action plan on a daily basis. Our supply chain remains robust and our stock availability is good. This is a dynamic and unprecedented situation and we will provide further updates if the situation changes but otherwise remains business as usual.
With over 110 years of history, at Shield Batteries we are determined to ensure that in these uncertain times, we continue to provide our customers with the exemplary levels of service they have come to expect whilst responding appropriately to the evolving situation.
